Abstract

The need for a more flexible and interactive method of learning violin in the digital era is the root cause of this research. The purpose of this study is to review the literature related to the impact of using video tutorials on students' musical skills and identify the challenges and advantages associated. The research method used was a literature study with a qualitative approach, in which the researcher collected and analyzed relevant literature sources. The results showed that video tutorials significantly improved students' technical skills, provided better accessibility, and enabled independent learning. Video tutorials also help students understand techniques better through visual demonstration. However, challenges related to the quality and credibility of the video source were identified, which may affect the effectiveness of learning. This research emphasizes the importance of integrating video tutorials in the music education curriculum and the need for training for teachers to maximize the potential of video tutorials as effective learning aids, creating an engaging and rewarding learning experience for students.
