Abstract

This research explores how local dialects play a role in Arabic pronunciation skills of 8-10 year olds at MI Al-Insan. The main focus of the study was to understand how the local dialect affects the mastery of phonetics and intonation required for standard Arabic. The research methods used include pronunciation evaluation through audio and video recordings as well as interviews with teachers and parents. The results of the data analysis showed that children who frequently communicate in the local dialect face difficulties in producing specific sounds of standard Arabic, such as /q/ and /ʕ/. Interpretation of the results indicates the need for adjustments to teaching methods that take into account the influence of local dialects. The implications of the findings emphasize the importance of adaptive approaches in Arabic language teaching and the use of technology to improve children's pronunciation skills. This study explored how role-playing art methods can improve Arabic language communication skills in fifth grade primary school students. The study was conducted with 40 students divided into control and treatment groups. Results showed significant improvements in word pronunciation, vocabulary, and speaking fluency in the group that followed the role art method. Students also responded positively to the method, showing increased motivation and active participation in learning. This study supports the integration of role art as an effective alternative in Arabic language learning in elementary schools.
