Integrating Art and Education in the Management of the 2024 Tanjungjaya Festival

The Tanjungjaya Festival 2024, themed “Harmonia in Cultura,” is a strategic initiative launched by the KKN P2MB student group from the Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) to promote Tanjungjaya Village as a cultural and artistic village. This article discusses the performance management strategies implemented during the festival, including planning, execution, and evaluation of activities. With a community-based participatory approach, this program aims to strengthen local cultural identity through various traditional and modern art performances. This research use mix methods. The observation of the KKN P2MB group over 78 days serves as the qualitative method, as the research team (KKN P2MB group) was directly involved in the festival preparation process. We also utilized a quantitative approach through a survey conducted by the research team to assess audience satisfaction with the festival. The results indicate that this combined approach provides a comprehensive understanding of the effectiveness of KKN activities in organizing the festival and the audience's response to the event. The collaboration between students, local communities, and village government successfully created an inclusive and sustainable festival. This article concludes that structured performance management can serve as a catalyst for transforming Tanjungjaya Village into a center for culture and arts, while also enhancing local tourism potential.
